Miles Toyota July ’18 Diary

Have you seen our Rav4 vehicles out and about?

Our Community Basketball Manager (James Lissaman) spends a fair bit of time behind a computer screen planning and scheduling basketball games, but he does have some responsibilities that require the use of his Rav4.

Monday afternoons are often used to help with the Cowles Hoops program and junior competition teams. Tuesday Nights during Term Two and Three are spent driving across the city to capture photographs of our Macca’s Thomson and Whelan Trophy Competitions – and very occasionally refereeing if needed. Wednesday afternoon has a trek out to Lincoln University’s campus to take the Basketball Scholarship Athletes for a skills session.

During the weekend, James also takes photos of some Miles Toyota Premier League games, and uses the best ones each week to pair with Bruce Martin’s weekly report. With all the travel it has been no surprise that Canterbury Basketball is more visible out and about in the community, thanks in large part to these vehicles.

Next month we’ll detail some of the things Marty Davison has done in his role as our Senior Referee Manager.
