Macca’s Week Six Update

The Top Six in the Thomson Trophy have now been sorted – St. Thomas won the big game against Rangiora

vWe’re in the second half of Division One in the Thomson Trophy, with Cashmere, Christ’s College, Shirley Boys’, Middleton Grange, St. Thomas, and St. Andrew’s punching their ticket into the top half.

There are plenty of double header games on tap tonight – all at 5:15pm and 7:00pm at the following schools:

  • Cashmere hosts the Hornby Girls, then the boys will look to defend the Dowson Cup against St. Andrew’s
  • Kaiapoi boys play Linwood College, and then the girls have a chance to win the Phil Burns Cup from St. Andrew’s in our Whelan Trophy Game of the Week
  • Lincoln High has both teams from Papanui coming to play
  • Middleton Grange will look to try and score two wins – against St. Margaret’s and Shirley Boys’
  • Riccarton also has a solid chance for two wins – first against the Ellesmere girls, then vs the Hagley boys

At 5:15pm, the following schools are hosting games:

  • Burnside will play a tough Villa Maria team
  • Christchurch Girls’ High will be visited by Ashburton College
  • Hillmorton High’s boys will play against Burnside
  • Rangiora New Life will play in Rangiora against Hornby

 

7:00pm also has some intriguing match-ups:

  • Christchurch Boys’ high will try and get another win, this time against Ashburton College
  • Haeata and Te Pā will play – with one team guaranteed to get their first ever #MaccasTT win
  • Rangi Ruru has Rangiora High visiting
  • St. Bede’s College is also facing Rangiora
  • St. Thomas is hosting our Thomson Trophy Game of the Week against Christ’s College
