All proceeds from this event go to the Hillmorton High Basketball program – helping the next generation access opportunities to play hoops and attend tournaments.

 

There are Five Tournament Grades to choose from:

Men’s Gold: Competitive Grade. Venue: St Thomas College

Men’s Silver: The better social league Men’s teams that play on Mon, Tues and Thursday should enter this grade. Venue: St Thomas College

Men’s Bronze: Social-standard players. Venue: Hillmorton High.

Youth Men’s 15-21 year olds: Venue: Wharenui Gym

 

Tournament Details:

  • Each grade has a maximum of eight team entries.
  • These are split in to two pools of four teams who play three round robin games on Saturday.  On Sunday the top two teams in each pool advance to the semi finals and the bottom two teams in each pool play off for 5th to 8th.
  • Each team plays five games over two days and will be placed 1-8.

 

The Games:

  • Court Time: Games are 2 x 20 minute running clock halves. Stop clock last minute of second half.
  • Refereeing: One referee per game. Semis and Finals two referees.
  • Number of Games: All teams are guaranteed five games.
  • Saturday Round Robin: three round robin games Saturday between 9am and 6pm.
  • Sunday Finals: 2 finals games on Sunday between 9am and 3pm.

 

The Tournament Draw:

The draw will go live on the website in late-November.  For now ensure your 8-10 team members are all free on the weekend of December 1st and 2nd 2018.

 

Entering your team in the Tournament:

  • Entry Fee is $400 per team.
  • Each Team must have 8-10 players. A minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 10 players.
  • Teams must have matching Singlets/Tops. (Not just a matching colour but matching tops). Numbers not required.
