Expressions of Interest to coach in our Representative Programme are now being called for

Waitaha Representative (U15, U17 & U19) Boys’ & Girls’ Coach Positions Available:

 

Our Representative programme is now calling for applicants for the Waitaha U15, U17 & U19 Boys’ & Girls’ coach positions. Each age group will have respective A & B teams. The Waitaha teams will be selected from the Metro & North Canterbury teams that attend the Canterbury Regional Selection Tournament.

The head coaches will select the A & B teams in conjunction with a selection panel including representatives from the Canterbury Basketball Academy, CBA & North Canterbury. The A & B teams selected from the regional selection tournament will compete in the National Qualifying Tournament where the top two teams from the Canterbury region (Waitaha, Mid Canterbury & South Canterbury) will qualify for the Basketball New Zealand Nationals.

The Metro & North Canterbury Mainland team appointments will occur later in the year with an interview & appointment process conducted by each association (Metro & North Canterbury). 6th – 20th February: Representative Coach Applications Open

20th – 27th February: Short List Applicants Interviewed

2nd March: Naming of ‘Waitaha’ Head Coaches

Process:

Appointment process will be overseen by the Canterbury Basketball Academy, Canterbury Basketball Association & North Canterbury Basketball. If you have any questions please contact Caleb Harrison.  Applications will close at noon on Tuesday, 20th February.
